To mark the 50th anniversary of the Musée du Bas-Saint-Laurent, the exhibition "Empreintes" (Imprints) presents the elements that have shaped the Museum's identity, leaving a trace in the institutional and collective memory.
With a view to engaging the public in a reflection on the heritage and future of our institution, the exhibition includes a consultation space where the public is invited to leave their impressions on the imprints left by the Museum within the community, and even in their own lives, and on how they envision the future for the MBSL.
"Empreintes" (Imprints) is also the theme under which our 50th-anniversary programming is organized.
"Empreintes" (Imprints) such as the traces, tangible and intangible, left over the years by the actions, decisions, and orientations taken by the various teams that have succeeded one another.
"Empreintes" (Imprints) such as the impressions, knowledge, and experiences lived at the Museum by visitors.
Used here in the plural, as it carries a plurality of meanings, "empreintes" invites us to reflect together on the past, present, and future of the institution.
